Real failures, and what actually causes them. Most of this comes from palliora-sdk’s own CHAIN-RULES.md (read that file directly for the full, cited version with source-line references into the network’s pallets) and from this workspace’s own debugging history building against Manas.

Fee and agreement failures

A compute agreement has to clear two separate, unrelated checks. Knowing which one failed tells you what to actually fix.

Subscription contracts

Subscription is a long-lived, pre-funded contract: compute.agreement reserves the whole budget up front, and each compute.invoke runs one job against it. Every contract, including Subscription, also gets an overall deadline at creation (14,400 blocks at genesis, independent of the deadline field inside the compute step itself). Hitting that produces ContractExpired.

Where to go deeper

This page is a map of symptoms. palliora-sdk’s own CHAIN-RULES.md explains the actual mechanics behind each one, including the network’s fee formula, the guardian offchain worker logic, and contract lifecycle rules, and is the better read once you know roughly where your problem lives.
