# Rename map

Palliora DeFi was called Veilnyx before. Older pages, posts and code still use the old names. This page maps each old name to the new one, and lists the few places where the old name stays on purpose.

## Names

| Old                                    | New                             | Notes                                                                                |
| -------------------------------------- | ------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Veilnyx | Palliora DeFi | The product. Pages say "formerly Veilnyx" on first mention. |
| Veilnyx app | Palliora DeFi app | It is live at [defi.palliora.org](https://defi.palliora.org). |
| Veilnyx SDK | Palliora DeFi SDK | See Packages below. |
| `Burner`, `burner wallet`              | Private Sub-account             | The app labels it Sub-account. Code keeps `burner`.                                  |
| `Compliance`, `involuntary compliance` | Accountable privacy, disclosure | Prose only.                                                                          |
| Open a transaction                     | De-anonymize a transaction      | Prose only.                                                                          |
| Guardian | Decom guardian | A Decom guardian holds a share of the disclosure key. It is not a Palliora Guardian. |

A Decom guardian belongs to the disclosure network of Palliora DeFi. A Palliora Guardian belongs to Palliora's silent threshold encryption. They are different roles. See [Glossary](/defi/reference/glossary.md).

## Packages

The SDK packages move from the `@veilnyx-sdk` scope to `@palliora.org/defi-*`. The new names are the ones used across these pages. Until the new packages are published, install the old names and change only the import paths.

| New name                          | Old name                    |
| --------------------------------- | --------------------------- |
| `@palliora.org/defi-core`         | `@veilnyx-sdk/core`         |
| `@palliora.org/defi-account`      | `@veilnyx-sdk/account`      |
| `@palliora.org/defi-transaction`  | `@veilnyx-sdk/transaction`  |
| `@palliora.org/defi-zk-prover`    | `@veilnyx-sdk/zk-prover`    |
| `@palliora.org/defi-services`     | `@veilnyx-sdk/services`     |
| `@palliora.org/defi-shared-types` | `@veilnyx-sdk/shared-types` |
| `@palliora.org/defi-babyjubjub`   | `@veilnyx-sdk/babyjubjub`   |
| `@palliora.org/defi-utils`        | `@veilnyx-sdk/utils`        |

See [SDK reference](/defi/build/sdk-reference.md) for what each package holds.

## Where the old name stays

Some strings are part of the deployed contracts, or they are inputs to keys. A change would break accounts or make deployed code fail a byte-for-byte check. They keep their original text.

| Item | Where you see it | Why it stays |
| --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| The wallet message "Sign this message to generate your Veilnyx shielded account." | The prompt your wallet shows when you open the app | Your signature of this text seeds your shielded keys. A different text makes a different account. The prompt also tells you to sign only in apps "affiliated with Veilnyx". The Palliora DeFi app is that app. |
| Sub-account key contexts `veilnyx/hl-burner/v1/` (test) and `veilnyx/hl-burner/m1/` (mainnet) | The SDK and the app | They are key material. A change derives other addresses, and funds on the old ones are stranded. |
| The EIP-712 domain name `Veilnyx`, version `1` | The pool, in registration signatures | It is part of the deployed code. Use it exactly as it is when you sign typed data. |
| `veilnyxPool` and `setVeilnyxPool`                                                                        | The adaptor handler contract                       | Deployed names.                                                                                                                                                                                                |
| `FeeAssetNotSupportedByVeilnyx`                                                                           | A Paymaster error                                  | A deployed name.                                                                                                                                                                                               |
| `burner` in `deriveBurner`, `assertBurnerUnused`, `submitFrom: 'burner'` and the relayer's `burner` field | The SDK and the relayer API | Code identifiers keep their original names. Prose says Private Sub-account. |

## Older links

Older material may point to Veilnyx or Labyrinth sites. If a link no longer works, look for the same page under Palliora DeFi. The relayer on HyperEVM also still answers at its older address. See [Network reference](/defi/reference/network-reference.md).

The security contact is **<security@palliora.org>**. Older repositories may still list a Veilnyx address.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.palliora.org/defi/reference/rename-map.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
